InnoVar Call for interest: soil sampling and site description

ISRIC – World Soil Information is seeking experts who can assist with the soil sampling and site description for 11 countries in Europe. This work is part of the Horizon 2020 InnoVar project, next-generation plant variety testing for improved cropping on European farmland. InnoVar is a cooperation between 21 partners led by the Agrifood and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) from Belfast.

ISRIC’s role in InnoVar is to acquire, manage and analyse data on the environment (weather, soils) at the following InnoVar variety testing sites:

Due to travel and mobility restrictions under the COVID-19 crisis, ISRIC seeks involvement of consultants to do the field sampling and description of trial sites for soils. The total number of hours assigned for the work per trail site is set at a maximum of 20. Applicants should reside within six hours of the variety testing site. Application deadline is 24 May 2021.
